On May 27, 2024, at approximately 9:49 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of West Hamilton Road between S.R. 14 and Bass Road, reference a train striking a person.

On May 17, 2024, officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to two personal injury crashes within one hour.

On May 11, 2024, at approximately 5:59 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of State Road 101 at Lincoln Highway East, reference a personal injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located two vehicles involved. Three individuals appeared to be injured. 

On May 4, 2024, at approximately 9:18 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of U.S. 33, south of Felger Road, reference a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers and medics located an SUV that struck a tree. 

On May 3, 2024, at approximately 4:28 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the area of 1500 US 24 East, reference a multi-vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one injured person. 

On April 27, 2024, at approximately 7:06 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the 16000 block of State Road 1, near Leo, IN, reference a crash involving two motorcycles. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one patient. 

On April 17, 2024, at approximately 3:59 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the intersection of State Road 3 at Copper Mine Passage, reference a personal injury crash involving two motor vehicles.

On April 15, 2024, at approximately 4:25 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the 21 mile marker on I-469 Northbound, reference a crash involving multiple vehicles. 

On March 16, 2024, at approximately 8:40 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of Tonkel Road, north of Cedar Springs Blvd., regarding a vehicle verses pedestrian crash. 

On February 15, 2024, at approximately 11:50 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the 10100 block of Aboite Road

On February 5, 2024, at approximately 1:56 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of Lafayette Center Road at Zubrick Road, reference a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

On February 3, 2024, at approximately 8:25 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the report of a possible stabbing in the 10500 block of Lagoon Drive.

On February 2, 2024, at approximately 7:26 P.M., a male white suspect approached the Allen County Courthouse and broke out glass on the entry doors, using a sledge hammer.

Sheriffi's Department warns of scam

On January 17, 2024, at approximately 7:00 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of U.S. 33, north of Cook Road, regarding a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Allen County Sheriff Troy Hershberger, announced today that the Indiana Sheriffs' Association will again be awarding college scholarships to qualified high school seniors or college students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies.  There will be approximately 40 - $750 scholarships awarded to qualifying students throughout the state.

On January 16, 2024, at approximately 12:49 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the area of U.S. 30 East and Webster Road, reference a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries.

On January 11, 2024, at approximately 2:53 P.M., an Allen County Sheriff's Department Officer working at Wayne High School was alerted about a confrontation in the parking lot.

On January 10, 2024, at approximately 11:18 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department's Warrants & Fugitive Division, were conducting surveillance at 4919 Lima Road, when they observed a suspicious van enter the parking lot. The occupants of the van were seen coming and going from the van and officers attempted to speak with them. The driver of the van tried to back out of a parking spot and struck a police vehicle.

On November 11, 2023, at approximately 10:30 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the area of Coldwater Road and Watervale Cove, reference a person injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located two vehicles involved. 

On November 10, 2023, at approximately 6:23 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to the 4100 block of New Vision Drive, reference a disturbance between a male and a female in the parking lot of a hotel.
