Head-On Collision 14000 Block SR 37 Results in One Fatality

Press Releases

On October 4, 2025, at approximately 5:37 a.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a head-on collision on State Road 37, just west of Barnett Road.

Upon arrival, officers and medics located a white straight truck and a white passenger car on SR 37, approximately a few hundred yards southwest of Barnett Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the passenger car was traveling northeast on SR 37, while the straight truck was traveling southwest. For reasons still under investigation, the passenger car appears to have crossed over the center line, resulting in a head-on collision with the truck.

The female driver of the passenger car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver of the straight truck was not injured.
