Fatal Crash on Tonkel Rd at Oak Valley Pl

On July 15, 2026, at approximately 4:12 pm, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the intersection of Tonkel Rd and Oak Valley Pl regarding a personal injury crash involving 3 vehicles.

The preliminary investigation indicates a blue Toyota Camry was stopped westbound on Oak Valley Pl at Tonkel Rd. The Toyota Camry traveled onto Tonkel Rd and was struck by a northbound black Dodge Nitro. The Dodge Nitro continued North and struck a southbound black Chrysler 200 which was stopped in a turn lane.

The drivers of the blue Toyota Camry and black Dodge Nitro were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the black Chrysler 200 was treated at the scene and released. Upon arrival to the hospital, the condition of the driver of the blue Toyota Camry was downgraded and later pronounced deceased.

The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
