On 04/29/2025, at approximately 9:33 am, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of SR 101 N. and Campbell Rd. Upon arrival, officers and medics located a semi pulling a flatbed trailer and an SUV just north of the intersection of SR 101 N. and Campbell Rd., that appeared to be involved in the crash. A preliminary investigation indicated that the semi was traveling north on SR 101 N. and the SUV was traveling west on Campbell Rd., attempting to cross SR 101 N. Initial investigations suggest the driver of the SUV failed to yield at the intersection and the vehicles collided. The driver of the semi was transported in serious condition and the driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene.
