Allen County, IN – August 20, 2025 – At approximately 4:36 a.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of Flaugh Road and West California Road in response to a reported crash involving a Ford SUV and a Chevrolet pickup truck.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and an adult female involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the SUV, driven by an adult female, was traveling southbound on Flaugh Road. A witness reported that the SUV passed another southbound vehicle on a solid yellow line while traveling uphill, just before reaching the intersection with West California Road. The SUV then collided head-on with a northbound pickup truck, driven by an adult male.
Following the collision, the SUV caught fire. The male driver of the pickup was able to pull the female driver from the SUV before it became fully engulfed in flames.
The female driver was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. The male driver refused medical treatment at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.

On August 20, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 7400 block of Milan Center Rd. regarding a dispatched call of a motorcyclist striking some trees.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 4:48 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of Old State Road 3 and State Road 3 in response to a report of a motorcyclist who had driven off the roadway.
