On December 10, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriffโs Department and the Northwest Fire District responded to a report of a vehicle-versus-tree crash.

At 601AM, officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the area of Irving Rd and Thimlar Rd on a reported vehicle crash with injuries. Officers arrived on scene located the single vehicle involved in the crash on the north side of the roadway. The driver, a female in her 20's, and only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene by East Central Fire and EMS Territory personnel. The vehicle was eastbound on Irving Rd, left the north side of the roadway for an unknown reason, struck a driveway embankment and went airborne before striking a tree. The identity of the deceased with be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner's Office. This crash remains under investigation.
