At 3:03AM, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department received reports of a crash at US 30 W and West Countyline Rd. Officers arrived and located the crash scene in the westbound lanes of US 30. A semi tractor trailer was stopped at the traffic signal for westbound US 30 when it was rear ended by a passenger car. The female driver of the passenger car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The semi driver was not injured during the crash. This crash is being investigated by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Indiana State Police. Westbound US 30 was closed for approximately 4.5 hours but has since been reopened. The identity of the deceased driver will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department is requesting the public’s assistance in an ongoing homicide investigation. Sometime between the evening hours of Friday, July 25, 2025, and the early morning hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025, a homicide occurred in the 700 block of Hathaway Road.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of State Road 3 and West Cedar Canyons Road in response to a reported vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers located a green Ford Ranger pickup truck that had struck a tree on the west side of the southbound lanes of State Road 3.
