At approximately 4:15pm, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the intersection of Hoagland Road and Grotrian Road for a reported vehicle crash with injuries. Hoagland Fire and EMS personnel also responded to the scene and located a pickup truck off the roadway that had rolled at least one time. It was reported the driver, an adult male, had been ejected during the crash. Fire and EMS personnel located the driver of the pickup and began treating the him. During transport to an area hospital, the driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased. Prior to the crash, the pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Hoagland Road, west of Grotrian Road, when it left the roadway for an unknown reason. This incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

At approximately 7:28 a.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the roundabout at Adams Center Road and Wayne Trace for a reported vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers located a passenger car off the roadway in a field several hundred feet southeast of the intersection.

As a result of new information uncovered during the ongoing investigation of the Pike’s Pub incident on May 30th, the charges against Kent Adamonis have been formally dismissed, and he is no longer considered a suspect in this case.
