Drug and Illegal Gambling Enforcement Operation Yields Significant Seizures

Allen County Drug Task Force Executes Warrant at Lafayette Mart

Fort Wayne, Indiana – March 24, 2026

The Allen County Drug Task Force (ACDTF), in conjunction with the Allen County Police Department SWAT Team, executed a search warrant on Tuesday, 3/24, at the Lafayette Mart, located at 3511 South Lafayette Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The operation resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of controlled substances, currency, firearms, and evidence of illegal gambling operations.

SEIZURES:

Controlled Substances:

• Cocaine: 79.7 grams
• Marijuana: 4 pounds 2 ounces (approximately 1,876 grams)
• Fentanyl: 6.2 grams

Currency Seized: $10,092

Firearms:

• Springfield XDS-.45 ACP (stolen)
• American Tactical Omni Hybrid Multi-Caliber Rifle

Additional Items:

• Digital scales (consistent with narcotics distribution)
• Business ledgers documenting transactions
• Illegal gambling pull-tabs, and inventory

RESIDENTIAL SEARCH:

On the same date, law enforcement executed an additional search warrant at 1298 Switchfoot Drive. This search resulted in the seizure of additional firearms and illegal narcotics:

KNOWN SUSPECTS:

The business is operated by Alex Brookshire and Makiyah Moore. The investigation remains active, and further charges and arrests are anticipated.

This operation reflects the ongoing commitment of the Allen County Drug Task Force to dismantle drug distribution networks and remove dangerous narcotics from Allen County.
