On August 9, 2025, at approximately 8:52 a.m., dispatch received a report of a possible domestic battery in progress in the 9300 block of Morning Light Trail. Officers from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the New Haven Police Department responded to the area.
Upon arrival, officers made entry into the involved apartment and located a male and a female, both deceased from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Detectives with the Allen County Police Department and investigators from the Allen County Coroner’s Office are currently conducting a thorough investigation. The incident remains under active investigation, and no further details are being released at this time.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 4:48 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of Old State Road 3 and State Road 3 in response to a report of a motorcyclist who had driven off the roadway.
