On August 5, 2022, at approximately 3:08 P.M., Officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department’s Warrants & Fugitive Division attempted to serve a warrant on an individual in the 4600 block of Maple Terrace Parkway.

The adult male subject was seen with a handgun and began engaging conversation with officers. During that exchange, the suspect began making threats with the handgun. Attempts to call the subject out of the house were unsuccessful.

Assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department’s SWAT team and Negotiators, as well as multiple Fort Wayne Police Department resources arrived at the scene.

Officers continued efforts to try and resolve the incident.

UPDATE AT 6:11 P.M:

At 5:56 P.M., the suspect surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without further incident.
