Truck Crashes into Buggy:
Two Deceased, One Critical, One Serious.

 

Details:

At approximately 8:28 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a crash that occurred at SR 37 and Notestine Road.  Investigating officers have determined that a black pick-up truck was northbound on SR 37 when it struck a horse drawn buggy occupied by four people that was westbound on Notestine road.  Two female victims that were riding in the buggy died at the scene. Two male victims that were also riding in the buggy were taken to a local hospital, one by ambulance in serious condition and one by Samaritan in critical condition. All four victims live in Allen County. The driver of the pick-up truck fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office. The identity of the deceased victims will be released Coroner’s Office.
