Traffic Crash Leaves One Person in Critical Condition
Details:
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a three vehicle crash that occurred on Hillegas Road just south of Bass Road. At approximately 7:11 a.m. on Monday, October 26th, 2015, a maroon Ford Crown Victoria was northbound on Hillegas road when it drove into the southbound lane striking a dump truck on the driver’s side. A second dump truck that was behind the first, then ran over the front of the Crown Victoria. The female driver of the Ford was transported by ambulance to Lutheran Hospital in critical condition. Neither of the dump truck drivers was injured. It is unknown at this time why the northbound vehicle drove into the southbound lane. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
