Three People Injured in Morning Crash

Details:

At 8:42AM on September 2, 2015, dispatch received a call of a two vehicle crash on SR 37 at Rupert Road. The investigation revealed that Vehicle 1, a Dodge Journey, driven by a 28 year old female, crossed the center line and struck Vehicle 2, a Ford Taurus.  Vehicle 2 was occupied by a male and female couple, both in their 80s. Driver of Vehicle 1 was transported with a possible broken leg to PRMC. Female occupant of Vehicle 2 was transported in critical condition with leg injuries, and the male driver was transported with minor injuries sustained from airbag deployment. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. Both vehicles had air bag deployment. Possible cause: glare.
