Sheriff’s Department needs help locating Sex Offender

The Allen County Sex Offender Registration and Notification Team is attempting to locate George J. Mata, M/H/35, for failure to register as a sex offender.  While officers with the SORN team were attempting to verify Mr. Mata’s address in the 2600 block of Fox avenue, it was determined that Mr. Mata had moved without notifying law enforcement as required by law.  Mr. Mata has family in Fort Wayne and Decatur, Indiana. Attempts to locate him have proven unsuccessful.  Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call your local police department.
