Sheriff David J. Gladieux will promote, by swearing-in, two new police officers Wednesday, January 15^th at 10:00 a.m.   The media is invited to attend the ceremony which will be held in Courtroom #2 of the Allen County Courthouse.  Joseph Cox Jr. was hired as a confinement officer in August 2018, and is the son of Allen County Police Sergeant Joseph Cox senior, who died in the line of duty on February 12^th, 2017. Jordan Hissong was hired as a confinement officer in December 2018. Officers Cox and Hissong are the first two officers to be hired under the department’s new policy of only hiring from within its ranks.
