One Person Killed in a car Vs. Semi Head on Collision

Details:

On Friday, October 23rd, 2020 at approximately 2:10 p.m., Allen County Police Officers responded to US 24, west of Bull Rapids for a crash involving a Semi and a passenger car.  Upon arriving and after conducting the initial investigation, it was determined that for unknown reasons the driver of the passenger car which was eastbound on US 24 crossed the center median and struck the westbound Semi head on.  The female driver, and sole occupant of the passenger car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Semi received minor injuries.  The crash is under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Coroner’s Office. US 24 westbound should reopen at approximately 4:30 p.m. eastbound US 24 will be closed until at least 6:00 p.m.
