One Person Deceased After Being Struck by Car While Crossing the Road

Details:

On Thursday, September 13th, 2021 at approximately 6:36 p.m., Allen County Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Carroll road west of Gondola Parkway for a crash involving a Toyota Camry and a female pedestrian.  Upon arriving, and after conducting the initial investigation, it was determined that the male driver of the Toyota Camry was traveling west on Carroll road when he saw a blue truck stopped in the roadway at the Bufferbelly Trail crosswalk. The driver proceeded around the truck and struck a female pedestrian that was northbound crossing Carroll road. The female pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
