One Person Dead, One Injured, After Early Morning Rollover Crash
At approximately 5:02 a.m., Saturday, September 2nd, 2017, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s department responded to the 294 mile marker of I-69 to a reported single vehicle traffic crash. When officers arrived, they found that a Chevrolet Trailblazer had left the west side of I-69 southbound and rolled over ejecting the driver, who later died after being transported to a local hospital. A passenger was able to climb out of the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Neither victim was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Allen County Coroners Office. Toxicology results are pending and the identity of the driver will be released by the Coroner’s Office at their discretion.
