On June 29, 2018, Allen County Sheriff’s Department Officers responded to Cuba Road, north of State Road 37, after receiving reports of a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived on scene to find a white SUV that crashed into a tree, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Witnesses advised that the white SUV was southbound on Cuba Road, north of State Road 37, before it left the roadway for unknown reasons.

The adult male driver was pulled from the vehicle by witnesses and transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The adult female passenger in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This incident is still under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Allen County Coroner’s Office.
