One Person Dead After Single Vehicle Crash
At approximately 5:22 p.m., Wednesday, November 16th 2016, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s department responded to the 9900 block of U.S. 33 to a reported traffic crash. When officers arrived, they found that a green Buick had left the south bound driving lane of U.S. 33 just north of Chase road and traveled approximately 150 yards through a field before landing in a ditch. The driver/sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known why the driver left the roadway. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Allen County Coroners Office. The identity of the driver will be released by the Coroner’s Office at their discretion.
