One Person Critical After Morning Crash

Details:

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Allen County Police Officers responded to the intersection of Dawkins Road and Morgan Road for a crash involving an SUV and a Dump Truck pulling a trailer with one person pinned inside the SUV.  Upon arriving, and after conducting the initial investigation, it was determined that the female driver of the SUV was traveling west on Dawkins Road when it collided with the trailer that was being pulled by the Dump Truck which was turning east on Dawkins Road from Morgan Road.  The female driver of the westbound SUV had to be extricated from her vehicle and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Upon arrival to the hospital the driver was downgraded to critical condition. The male driver of the Dump Truck was not injured and cooperating with the investigating officers. Dense fog is believed to be a contributing factor.  The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
