On December 1, 2022, at approximately 7:17 A.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of I-469, eastbound, at the 27.0 mile marker, reference a personal injury crash. Upon arrival, officers and medics located one victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to witnesses, there was a disabled vehicle on the shoulder. The deceased adult female was struck by a semi tractor-trailer. The driver of the semi was not injured.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Allen County Coroner’s Office are both still on scene as of 9:55 A.M.

One lane of I-469 remains closed at the time of this posting.
