Northbound Semi Crashes into Bridge Support on I-69

Details:

At approximately 5:05 a.m., Tuesday, May 09, 2017, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a single vehicle crash that occurred on I-69 at the 292 mile marker.  Investigating officers determined that a semi-truck was northbound on I-69 before traveling off the east side of the roadway striking a bridge support that was under construction.  The driver of the semi was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The truck was hauling empty crates.  It is not known why the truck left the roadway.  The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
