Northbound Semi Crashes into Bridge Support on I-69

Details:

At approximately 6:44 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a single vehicle crash that occurred on I-69 at the 292 mile marker.  Investigating officers determined that a FedEx semi-truck with two trailers was northbound on I-69 before traveling off the east side of the roadway striking a bridge support that was under construction.  The driver of the semi was flown by the Samaritan to a local hospital in serious condition.  It is not known why the truck left the roadway.  A similar accident occurred at the same location exactly one week ago.  The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
