Man Arrested After Armed Robbery of McDonalds

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department in investigating and armed robbery that occurred just after 11:00 p.m. at the McDonalds located at 10310 Illinois Road.   Officers were called to the scene on the report that a man entered the restaurant armed with some type of handgun and wearing a mask.  The man, identified as Lawrence Hill M/B/21, grabbed an employee’s cell phone and fled the scene prior to obtaining any money.  Mr. Hill was arrested a short time later at his residence located in the 500 block of Red Bluff Drive.  Mr. Hill is in the Allen County Lock-Up preliminarily charged with 1 count of Robbery and Battery. Nobody was seriously injured during the crime, which remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
