K-9 Graduation

Allen County Sheriff’s Department Master K-9 Trainer, Robert L. Compton, Captain Shawn Lawhorn and Chief David Gladieux will present certificates to six graduating K-9 academy officers and their partners on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Allen County Courthouse Rotunda.

The class has recently undergone 14-weeks of intense training and is certified in the areas of: Obedience Control, Evidence Search, Area Search, Building Search, Tracking and the Detection of Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine and Ecstasy.

Sergeant Larry Balliet and K-9 Gage (Garrett, Indiana Police Department)

Deputy Marshal Eric Lawson and K-9 Major (Avilla, Indiana Police Department)

Deputy Nathaniel G. Birch and K-9 Hawk (North Manchester, Indiana Police Department)

Officer Ingrid Herriott and K-9 Thor (Allen County Police Department)
