I-469 Crash Leaves One Person Deceased and Two Serious
Details:
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred on I-469 at the 25 Mile Marker. At approximately 2:38 a.m. on Sunday, May 29th, 2016, a maroon Ford Taurus was southbound in the northbound lanes of I-469 when it struck a northbound pickup truck head on. The male driver of the Ford Taurus was deceased at the scene. The male passenger of the Ford Taurus was transported to a local hospital by the Samaritan Helicopter in serious condition. The driver and only occupant of the pick-up truck was transported to a local hospital by ambulance in serious condition. It is unknown at this time why the Ford Taurus was driving southbound in the northbound lanes. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
