Gary Grant promoted from Sergeant to Deputy Chief of Administration.

Sheriff David J. Gladieux has filled a key position in his Administration with a 25 year Veteran Sergeant

Gary Grant has been promoted from Sergeant of the Civil Division to Deputy Chief of Administration. Deputy Chief Grant will oversee the daily operations of the Civil Division, Warrants & Fugitive Division, Bureau of Identification, Sex Offender Registry and Notification Division, and other administrative personnel.

He started his career with the Department in 1993 as a Commissioned Police Officer. Chief Grant has been a member of the departments SWAT Team and a K-9 handler, served in the Jail as a Commissioned Police Officer, Communications Division as a Dispatcher, Detective with the Vice and Narcotics Division/Metro Squad, Detective with Crime Suppression Unit, Patrol Officer in the Traffic Division, and Community Resource Officer for Huntertown. Chief Grant was promoted from Officer to Corporal in the Patrol Division, Corporal in the Criminal Investigations Division, and Sergeant in the Civil Division prior to his present position. Deputy Chief Grant has risen through the ranks to his present position as Deputy Chief of Administration and brings 25 years of experience to his new position.

Sheriff Gladieux determined that he possessed the qualifications and professionalism needed to oversee the Allen County Sheriff’s Department Administrative Divisions.
