Allen County Sheriff’s Department Investigating Double Shooting That Left One Person Dead and One in Critical Condition

On Friday, August 13th, 2021 at approximately 7:48 a.m. officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 10600 block of Day Lily Drive reference suicide threats. Upon arriving and after entering the apartment, officers located two victims. One female victim, with a gunshot wound, was deceased. A male victim, also suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The case remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office. The identity of the victim, cause, and manner of death, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
