The Allen County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Unites States Postal Service (USPS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Demontra Lamonte Moore, of the 500 block Royalton Drive, New Haven, Indiana on April 20, 2023.
The United States Postal Service intercepted a suspicious package and with the assistance of the Allen County Sheriff’s Department Police K9 “Django”, it was confirmed the package contained illegal narcotics. Subsequently, the Allen County Drug Task Force received a search warrant for Moore’s residence where additional narcotics were recovered. During the execution of the search warrant, narcotic detectives seized the following:
2 pounds of fentanyl pills
2.11 pounds of marijuana
½ pound of methamphetamine
46 grams of heroin
Large amount of MDMA (ecstasy) pills
Oxycodone pills
1.7 grams of cocaine
1.9 grams of powder fentanyl
Two handguns (one stolen from Saginaw, Michigan)
CHARGES:
Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Fentanyl) – level 2 Felony
Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin) – Level 2 Felony
Dealing in a Scheduled 1 controlled Substance (MDMA/Ecstasy) – Level 2 Felony
Dealing Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony
Dealing Marijuana – Level 5 Felony (prior conviction)
Theft-when property is a stolen firearm – Level 5 Felony
Possession of Cocaine – Level 6 Felony
Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor
Possession of Paraphernalia – Class C Misdemeanor
In addition to the above-mentioned agencies, the following played a key roll during this investigation; The Allen County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, the Auburn Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
