On November 29, 2021, at approximately 8:52 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence in the 7100 block of West Cook Road, regarding a report of gunshots being fired inside the home. Officers arrived at the scene and were able to make entry after observing multiple people down inside the residence through a window. Officers were able to get the unharmed witness out safely. The scene was secured and medics were able to enter. Medics pronounced four people deceased at the scene.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police.

The investigation is ongoing. The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release identifications, as well as cause and manner of death for each individual.

There is no reason to believe that the public is in any danger. Officers are not looking for any suspects at this time.
