On 7/18/2012 at approximately 0650 hours the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to head-on car crash on Homestead road just north of Ernst road.  According to a witness, a male was driving a green Honda Accord north on Homestead road when he crossed the center line striking a silver Honda Accord that was traveling south bound.   The male driver (not identified) and the female driver (72 years old / Fort Wayne) were pronounced dead at the scene.  No passengers were present in either car. The male driver was not wearing his seatbelt. This crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
