Event:              K-9 Graduation

 

           

     Allen County Sheriff’s Department Master K-9 Trainer, Robert L. Compton, Captain Shawn Lawhorn and Sheriff Kenneth C. Fries will present certificates to six graduating K-9 academy officers and their partners, on Thursday, July 2, in the Allen County Courthouse Rotunda.

 

     The class has recently undergone 14-weeks of intense training and is certified in the areas of: Obedience Control, Evidence Search, Area Search, Building Search, Tracking and the Detection of Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine and Ecstasy. 

 

Graduates are as follows:

 

Deputy Aaron J. Long and K-9 Gage, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Dept.

Officer Joel L. Ellert and K-9 Niko, Allen County Sheriff’s Dept.

Officer Christopher J. Kramer and K-9 Chewbacca, Allen County Sheriff’s Dept.

Patrolman Mitchell M. McClure and K-9 Rex, Defiance Police Department

Trooper Shane L. Neuenschwander and K-9 Smokey, Indiana State Police
