WHEN:            February 19, 2008

DETAILS:     On Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at approximately 3:38 p.m., the Allen County Sheriff’s Department Communications Center received a call from a resident in the 1100 block of Perry Lake Drive advising that a man that lives across the street had exposed his naked body to her 12 year-old daughter.  The caller further advised that the man exposed himself to the entire school bus that her daughter had been riding on. The initial investigating officers located a wallet that had been reported stolen from the Dupont Road Y.M.C.A. along with a second wallet with the suspect’s belongings in his residence.  The investigation then led officers to the Y.M.C.A. where they located the suspect (Thomas James Wagner) hiding in the front seat of his blue Chevrolet Malibu.  After talking with investigators, Mr. Wagner was transported to the Allen County Lock-Up where he is being held on a 7,500.00 bond.  Sheriff Kenneth Fries contacted the Dupont Y.M.C.A. to inform management of the investigation.  The Y.M.C.A. is initiating their own investigation and reported that Mr. Wagner is not a member of the facility.  The Allen County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the investigation.
