Citizen's Academy

Citizens Academy

The Allen County Sheriff's Citizen's Academy offers residents the opportunity to have in depth exposure to the real world of law enforcement. Department instructors and staff will give presentations about the many aspects of law enforcement including patrol, criminal investigation, crime scene processing, K-9, SWAT operations, and more. The Academy meets every Wednesday from 6:00pm-9:00pm for 12 weeks.

The Citizen's Academy is open to all Allen County residents 16 years old and older. Citizens 13-15 years old may attend the Academy if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The Citizens Academy will begin August 25, 2010 through November 10, 2010. Class will be each Wednesday from 6:00pm til 9:00pm

The Allen County Sheriff's Department is currently accepting applications for our Fall 2010 class. Classes are scheduled to begin in August 2010. The application deadline for this class is August 3, 2010.
